Santa Cruz Restaurant Week and Good Times are pleased to announce Santa Cruz Burger Week – seven days of burger love, as only Santa Cruz can do it. This companion event to Santa Cruz Restaurant Week, an annual fine dining event that has grown to considerable success in its seven years, has the potential to include many more participating restaurants.
Santa Cruz Burger Week spans seven nights from July 19-25, 2017 and is modeled after other popular Burger Weeks that take place nationwide.
A list of participating restaurants and their featured burgers are regularly updated on the Restaurants page, and will be complete by July 6. The Santa Cruz Burger Week issue will be published in Good Times on July 19.
The Burger Week concept is simple: Each participating restaurant may offer one or more specially priced burgers but will feature one at either $7 or $10 that is an especially good value. It may be à la carte, or include sides, but the whole point of this event is that it’s an opportunity for local chefs to introduce a new burger or introduce more customers to their favorite or most popular burgers. Burgers may be beef, chicken, lamb, fish, portobello, vegetarian, vegan — or whatever a chef might create.
This is Santa Cruz, people! Burgers may be beef, chicken, lamb, fish, portobello, vegetarian, vegan — or whatever a chef might create.
This event shines a spotlight on the local food culture in Santa Cruz County, and allows restaurateurs and chefs to showcase their individuality and creative talents. Santa Cruz Burger Week is an opportunity for the restaurant community to promote as a group, for diners to try a new restaurant for the first time, or for guests to try new burgers at a favorite restaurant.
